Okay, so this issue’s late, but it’s on TIME for
being late…since we announced the pushed-back deadline
last time. So right on schedule…and hopefully we’ll
be right back on track for our next deadline. Though that’s
coming up real close to the holidays, so if you’re like
me, you’d better start planning ahead now for that submission,
because December really sneaks up on you fast!
Let’s see what’s up in ‘Timer news, shall
we?
Chronicles of a Bounty Hunter #1 is
out!

Congrats to our own Joel B. Levy, as the comic
he’s editing—and writing upcoming issues for—“Chronicles
of a Bounty Hunter”, has gotten its first issue
out! Joel and the other partners at Dark Water Enterprises
debuted the book at a comic-con in Baltimore, and racked up
50 sales (speaking from experience? That’s HUGE for a
weekend convention take!) and getting interest from a number
of store owners. While not in stores yet, you can currently
get your own copy of the first issue right off their web site.

CM goes to the “Serenity”
world premiere in Hollywood!
Yeah, baby! You might have read this info already on the CT
board, but yes, I flew to Hollywood last month for the world
premiere of the movie I’ve been waiting for for the past
two years, got to do the red carpet walk, got to sit with the
cast (!) in the theater, and got to go to after-party and meet
the stars and director Joss Whedon. Dream come true? Understatement!
You can read the details in the current edition of The F Word.

And then the following week, me and ‘Timer Aaron Storck
each flew to San Diego (me from Sac, Aaron from Seattle) to
hook up with our old Firefly boys to see the official opening
day of the film. Had a great weekend back in the old homestead,
and got to see the film three times while there. And it just…kept…getting…better!

If you haven’t been to see if yet…get out and do
so now! Don’t wait for DVD. This movie needs your money
if we’re going to get any sequels. You won’t be
disappointed, I hereby promise! And if you want to check out
the first nine minutes of the film before you decide, Universal
has made that possible for you! Check it out at:
