Say, it's 2008! Don't know if anyone else has taken notice,
but that means we have officially entered the anniversary year
of the Clobberin' Times. Come this September, it will be twenty
years since K.C., Tim, myself, Brian Perris and Derek Garrison
put our first zines together for the Clobberin' Times #1. Guess
we should probably consider doing something special in about
seven months, huh?
Cover Lovin'
The masterful David Enciso returns to 'Times coverage
with a shot of ConTinuum's high-flying hero, Windjammer. Yes,
it would have been nice to have a Windjammer story to go with
it, but whadda ya want from me, the Moon? Sheesh. Thanks, Mr.
E.!
Welcome to the 'Times, Jack Butler.
Hope you survive the experience!
It's a big moment here at the CTO. We're taking
on our first new member who was NOT a member of the offline
'Times. Jack Butler officially begins submitting his zine ("Black
Hats and White Capes") this issue. Most of you have already
met Jack on the 'Times board, but if you haven't, he's a chef
by profession, a father of two, and brings twenty-seven years
of Champions experience to the table. His campaign universe
- the Butlerverse - has been around since 1984, and we'll be
learning all about it in the months to come. Welcome, Jack,
and thanks for joining us!
February Forte Action!
You might recall a little Forte reunion that took
place last summer in Seattle. Well, another gathering is coming...in
less than a week! Aaron Storck is flying into Sacramento for
a visit (a trip gifted to him by his missus on his birthday)
and will be hooking up and hanging out with his old roommates
this coming Friday night, and then hooking up with his old Sacramento
Forte pals (including myself, Tim Watts, Randy Auer, Jim Kletzing
and Adam Johnson) for some geeking on Saturday. So I just MAY
have a game report coming around next time (you think?). Stay
tuned!
Next Issue Deadline
Deadline for the next CTO issue is April
5, 2008, for inclusion in the April 6, 2008 issue.
