Everybody starting to thaw out a little bit where you are?
Sure hope so. The days are getting longer, things are turning
green, and a beautiful summer of Comic-Cons and big-budget geek-centric
blockbusters is on the way. We’ve got multiple shots seeing
if Hollywood can make some decent comic-book adaptations, so
cross your fingers start calling Fandango, because it is ON!
Cover Lovin'
The amazing Sean Harrington returns, and this
time with a team shot of Phoenix’s new hero team, APEX
(the Arizona Paranormal Enforcement eXperiment). Okay, the campaign
itself (see my zine this time) is over ten-years old, but in
campaign continuity they’ve still only been on job about
three months. This campaign was featured in the print version
of the Clobberin’ Times, but is now finally on its own
web page and living again, so check it out…and expect
to hear more about them in the online CT as the months pass.
"Chronicles of a Bounty Hunter"

April Fool's Comes Early and Turns into
Hot Sacramento Gaming Action!

Jim, Aaron, Adam, Randy
and Tim at the APEX gaming table
Hey, remember I mentioned last time that some
old Forte alums were getting together in Sacramento? I’d
mentioned there was to be a Forte game, but that was all a sham!
Instead, I surprised the visiting (from Seattle) Aaron with
the first run of the APEX campaign since 1999! He and I, along
with old ‘Timers Tim and A.T.—and Forte vets Randy,
Jim and Adam—got together for the historic game and had
a grand time. Details of that run are detailed in my zine this
time around. Great to have APEX back, even briefly…and
even greater to be able to pull a late birthday surprise on
Aaron!
Next Issue Deadline
Deadline for the next CTO issue is June
1, 2008, for inclusion in the Junel 2, 2008 issue.
