Shawn Mortenson

Something of a child prodigy in the field of Computer Sciences, Shawn Mortenson was recruited by several major corporations before he had graduated high school. Choosing instead to take advantage of the numerous scholarship opportunities, Shawn attended M.I.T., earning several advanced degrees and eventually joining the faculty. While there, he began working on the Intelligence Improvement Initiative (called 3-I for short), a program aimed at developing a working artificial intelligence model.

Due to a lack of visionary leadership and a difference of opinion with others on the project, Mortenson left the 3-I program. Almost immediately, he was approached by STAR Labs who wanted Shawn to come work on their own artificial intelligence project based out of the Cincinnati offices. While there, he met Eric Haines, the former hero known as Tracker. The two become friends. Several years later, Tracker looked up Shawn and offered him a position with Armor Security as head of Computer Operations, a job where he will get to work with the brilliant Reed Richards. Shawn Mortenson eagerly accepted.
