No one thought that the L.A.-based all-girl punk rock band "Slay Belles" would amount to much. But when Janne Westsachsen (going by the name 'Jayna West') and her bandmates caught a lucky break and were given the chance to open for "Starched Collars," an up-and-coming "New Wave" band. The record producer that came to see the Collars was more impressed by the all-girl opening act and immediately signed them to a three record deal. Jayna and her friends were renamed "The Belles" and their first record "Saved by The Belles" went platinum.

After several years of success in the early 80's, the Belles broke up and began pursuing solo careers and other opportunities in the music industry. Jayna never quite reached the same level of popularity as a solo artist that she did while with The Belles, and after a few albums, decided to leave music behind, occasionally reuniting with her old bandmates for charity events and the odd music festival. For the most part, Jayna was content with her life, but missed the spotlight from time to time.

Then she awoke one morning to find that she had shrunk physically to six inches tall. After surviving a frightening ordeal with her dog, Jayna managed to will herself back to normal size. Hysterical, Jayna called her mother, convinced that the woman would never believe her. On the contrary, Jayna's mother told her that she was in truth a faerie. It seemed that years ago, she had fallen in love with Jayna's father and given up her magical heritage. Jayna's mom was never sure whether or not her daughter would inherit any of her magical characteristics, but was thrilled that she had. Because she was only half-faerie, Jayna would not have all of the magical ability of her mother, nor would she have to make the choice that her mother had in order to stay in the world of science.

In time, Jayna learned that she could reduce her size and even create various magical effects such as exploding flashbulbs and a sleep-inducing "dust." Reinvigorated as a result of her new abilities, Jayna decided that she wanted to once again enter the spotlight. So, at age 45, Jayna West, now calling herself "Pixie," reappeared onto the pop culture stage. She won FOX-TV's reality show "Who Wants to be a Superhero?" and became a member of the latest incarnation of Armor Security. Now, when she is not busy with her duties at Armor, she and her teammate Trey Macon (The Voice) have started playing some local events for charity. Additionally, she and her old bandmates from The Belles have been in the studio working on a new album.
