Cmdr. Edward Castillo

A Viet Nam veteran that served with John Clayton (Phantasm), Castillo was an exceptional soldier, and carried that ethic into his civilian life when he joined UNCLE after the war. His lifelong interest in Japanese culture, including speaking the language, led to a long-term assignment for him in Japan with UNCLE's sister organization there, RONIN, as an American advisor. It was there that he met and married his wife, Natsu, and had a baby boy named Gai. His wife and child died in a home fire under mysterious circumstances, and the case was never completely closed. After serving a number of years with SHIELD, Castillo was offered a position running the well-known Seattle, Washington branch of UNCLE, famed for its dealings with Forte. Since taking over as Commander, Castillo has become both loved and feared by the people under him, a soft-spoken but very intense man with haunted eyes. His people will follow his every command without question. He has a solid working relationship with the new Forte team, as well as with his old friend John Clayton, now the head of Canada's BRAND.
