Dan Murdock

First Appearance:

A well-respected high school football coach in Seattle, Dan Murdock took a young protege under his wing, a student named Bobby Maximillion McMillan. He started to notice changes taking place in Bobby...such as Bobby getting stronger and faster, and the fact that sometimes when he ran his feet stopped touching the ground. He was the first to discover Bobby's abilities, and kept the secret, working with Bobby to help him control and hone these burgeoning super-powers. In the end, he helped turn Bobby into the Forte hero called Max, a name taken from Dan's coaching motto of "maximum effort, maximum gain". He continues to be a trusted mentor and father figure to Max.
