Real Name: Tenna Gracebringer Born on the lush planet of Cassu where women are the dominant gender, and born into the royal Gracebringer line, Tenna was raised in the capital palace, and reared for nobility, culture, and the eventual rule of her people. Birth into the Gracebringer bloodline brought more than political power. Five families within the Cassu race had passed extraordinary attributes down though the generations, and one of those families always ruled, depending on the age (and, in the world's darker past, depending on who won terrible and destructive civil wars). The modern age was the age of the Gracebringers. Possessing great strength and toughness, able to defy gravity and survive the the depths of space, and with senses many times more acute than the average Cassu woman, Tenna was trained in the use of the family abilities, as well as in politics, history, and military strategy. Her mother was the ruling empress as Tenna grew into womanhood, and she was set to take over the throne when her time finally came. While the Empress herself thought little of the Realm beyond minimal membership that allowed trade and good relations, Tenna believed in the Empire, and of the greater importance of galactic concerns over the more limited politics of Cassu that were all her mother could see. And, truth be told, she longed to see more of the galaxy than the destiny she was being forced into would allow her. When the Realmsovereign himself came to Cassu and offered her a place on his Realmwatch team, she made the most difficult decision of her life and accepted. While she insisted the choice would be a great thing for her people, allowing her to represent them in the Empire in a way no one had ever been able to, her mother was infuriated and all but disowned her. Her father, meeker in nature and always her strength, quietly supported her and expressed his great pride in her choice. Her choice did more than affect her family relations. Her leaving threw her world into political turmoil. Her denial of the throne left her younger sister--her less confident and competent sister--in line for rule, and without the certainty the populace felt in Tenna, people have begin to voice concerns in the Gracebringer line's continued rule, and that it might be time for one of the other four families to step up. Tenna's guilt over all this continues to torment her, but she believes she has ultimately made the right decision for herself and the Realm. A confident leader with a regal countenance, Galaxia (as she chose to call herself) serves in the Realmwatch with dignity and distinction. Her strength and beauty have captivated the citizens of the Realm, making her very popular on the many worlds of the Empire. She is very dedicated, with a strong but caring nature (the former learned from her mother, the latter from her father), and understands the subtleties of politics thanks to her upbringing. As such, when Blue Victor lost his favor with the Sovereign, she was chosen to take over as team leader, and has handled the task with great success. And due to that political wisdom, she's been careful to include Victor in the decision-making and strategy, making him feels as though they are co-leaders of the 'Watch. |
