Real Name: Commander Arc Lemdon A career military man in the Realmforce, Arc Lemdon was a warrior born. Also, a warrior born from the race of the Bevrey, oversized humanoids of great physical strength and stature, known for their loyalty to the Empire. Where others began their careers at higher rank after four years in the Academy, Arc entered as a grunt (and this is how most other military men saw those of the Bevrey anyway). While others were in classes on theory, history and strategy, he was on the battlefield, in the middle of every border skirmish with the Harcor Empire. His reputation quickly grew, that of a fierce and cunning soldier with unquestionable courage, and a leader that his fellow grunts trusted and counted on. He spent twenty-five years in service, surviving both battles and wars (including the bloody War of the Belt that nearly took the Realm and Harcor empires to the brink of mutual annihilation), collecting scars, and rising through the ranks. He eventually gained Realm Commander rank, without the Academy experience usually required for such ascension, and led troops that would die for him without question. But in the Kedher Wars, his long-standing luck finally ran out. Three worlds of a border system had broken off from Realm rule and enslaved portions of their populace. While leading a division into in major city, Arc tried to personally protect and evacuate a group of fleeing refugees. A bomb from a passing enemy fighter took out the convoy he was leading, and his body was all but destroyed. His men pulled him out and got him to safety as he clung to life. He was rushed to the nearest Realmship with medical facilities, where it was decided he needed drastic cybernetic replacement to save his life. The basic work was done, and he survived, but everyone assumed it was would be the end of his long military career. Not willing to accept this, Arc convinced the cybernetic specialists to augment his additions in very creative and deadly ways. He became a living weapon. Large, retractable blades were built into his new armor's gauntlets. Autofire laser cannons were installed in his arms. At his direction, they added flame units...grenade launchers...tracking and analysis systems. He became more than a machine. He became a war machine. Sooner than anyone expected, he was back on the battlefield, and more effective than ever, practically being a one-man division. Some still consider him one of the major reasons the Kedher Wars ended as soon as they did. He became a well-known legend both in and out of Realmforce circles. And the Realmsovereign heard the tales as well, and when he decided to put together his own personal guard, The Realmwatch, he personally asked Commander Arc Lemdon to be part of it. While Lemdon had no desire to leave military service, he was still a soldier, and the request came from his highest superior, so he accepted. Taking the name Legionon, he has carried his courage and tenacity from the Realmforce to the Realmwatch, and serves there with the same outstanding results. He leads troops when the need arises, and, though a Realm Commander, accepts orders from Galaxia (and/or Blue Victor) without complaint. Legionon is an old warrior who has seen too much and is phased by little. He's a man of few words, and often comes off as jaded or gruff. But he's a simple man of honor, one who continues to serve the Realm that he so long ago dedicated his life to defend. |
