Dr. Stephen Strange

A prominent physician, Dr. Stephen Strange had another line of work that the world at large did not know—he was also Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme, the overseer of all things mystic for this realm and its protector from such threats. He had aided Earth’s heroes on countless occasions over the years, and did so as well for a new Seattle group called Forte. But his relationship with Forte would take a very unique twist. When the soul of a yet conceived child was rescued from the dark clutches of Lucifer D’Arque by a self-important council of powerful mages called the Omnicron, they chose, for their own reasons, a mother and father to conceive the child and bring it into the world to keep it safe. The father they chose was Stephen Strange, a natural choice. The mother they chose was Sydney Todd, better know as the founding Forte heroine Mist. Finally agreeing to this unusual arrangement, Stephen and Sydney brought the child, Caleb, into the world, and their “partnership” blossomed, along the way, into love, and the two married. It was later discovered that Caleb was actually the child of Lucifer D’Arque and Helliquin (this world’s incarnation of Nightsable, the daughter of Forte’s Dr. Jackal and Knightsabre), and he was kidnapped by Helliquin in an attempt to resurrect D’Arque from the grave and into godhood. This plot was stopped, and Helliquin died during the confrontation, and years later, Sydney would join with her fellow Forte founders—Dr. Jackal, Phantasm, and an alternate-Earth Phantashia—and destroy Lucifer D’Arque once and for all, forever ending the threat to their son Caleb.

Stephen lives in San Francisco with his wife, Sydney (who runs the San Francisco branch of UNCLE) and their son Caleb. He and the mystic heroine Poltergeist “trade off” taking the Sorcerer Supreme mantle. Stephen has been helping Forte with all thing mystic for many years, and, due to his marriage to Sydney, became a welcome part of the Forte extended family. Today he continues to aid the new Forte whenever he can in their investigations and their protection of the world.
