Nicholas Ares

The founder and CEO of Ares Global Enterprises (A.G.E.), Nicholas Ares has a reputation as a ruthless and cunning businessman, one who fought all the way to the top in his career. His company sprang for nowhere in 1990s and took the world by storm, and soon, Ares was a billionaire. A.G.E. had a reputation for taking risks on new ventures, and dabbled on all kinds of unorthodox areas. A.G.E. was one of the companies with an exclusive contract to study recovered alien technology from the Saoshyant invasion back in the original Forte team's day. It's been rumored that access to those technologies led to many of the developments that put A.G.E. on the map, and made is such a darling among defense contractors.

Nick Ares has no fear of the unknown, and is not blind, like many of his competitors, to the super-hero world they live in and all its trappings. Its rumored that he's dabbled in not only alien technology, but magic, extra-dimensional travel, and genetic engineering.

The new Forte team ran afoul of Ares in their first adventure, when their investigation led them to his company, and suggested his complicity in the Karrigon invasion--possibly just to profit in arms sales to help defeat the ancient conquerors--and the murder of an employee that was also a friend of Forte's Tinker. They were never able to prove anything again him, and that remained the pattern for Forte's dealings with him...always certain he was dirty, but never able to make anything stick. The savvy and charismatic Ares seems always one step ahead, and Forte still watches him closely and waits for the day when they can finally bring him, and his company, to justice.
