Again, just additions to the Calendar and Message Board pages. But you'll see a theme this time. The 20th Anniversary of Forte happens this November in real life, and that's certainly being celebrated in the Forte world as well. Check both board updates for a flavor of what's happening.

No new content officially added, but the Calendar page got updated for August/September, showing you what's going on in the Forte world for those months, and the main Message Board page got changed, too, with new fictional "recent post" topics that don't actually lead to any real threads. Again, just another dash of flavor from the Forte Universe.

MAJOR site update! Site redesign, actually. The first version of this site went up in 2001, and was the first of the Forte sites. But it was very unfinished, and quickly fell by the wayside as the Forte 2000 site began and other Forte sites began to spring up. Now that it's years later, and LOTS of other Forte post-campaign continuity has happened since that first inception, it was finally time to do this one right, and integrate it with all the other pages.

The whole design of the site is different than the first, and many existing pages have been improved on, and new ones have been added. The new additions include the new Team Files page, which now lists all Forte members (past and present) and links to character pages or art for each one; the Chat Room, which includes, for its debut, a very large team chat from back in the year 2000 (written recently, but taking place in 2000 in Forte continuity); the Message Board, which shows numerous discussion threads (that don't actually go to threads, but still...) and starts off with a little thread about a pending poker game at the Forte base; the Calendar page, which will be updated every two months to show current Forte "events" and list Forte birthdays; and an About page was added to tell newcomers exactly what this page is all about.

The redone parts include the Database re-do, which integrated a few existing pages into one place. The former Forte World Map page was put into this page, and the map interface was made much snazzier. The Communications page functions much as it did before, but now has a new look and more information on the listed hero teams. The Email Portal got a new look, and the one email that was there originally got a complete rewrite. The original email there, one from Dr. Jackal to Mist, was the very first piece of online Forte post-campaign work ever done. It began the restart of the Forte timeline. However, much was done after it was written that made it obsolete, and the whole timeline within the email was suddenly all wrong. So it got a full rewrite from scratch, and was written in 1998 Forte continuity instead of the original 2001. Added to the email page is an email thread involving the Forte 2000 characters, centering on Dyna Girl's birthday. This is an existing "story" originally on the Forte 2000 Adventures page, but I reformatted it for this page's email style and moved it here.

While there used to be a Base Systems page, it didn't have anything on it but a note that it was "currently offline". Now, you can actually see layouts of both floors of the Forte base, recreated in Illustrator from the original base design (which until now existed only on graph paper for the past twenty years). The Links page got a new look and some new links, and also got a number of banner ads added to it to make it more visually fun. And, finally, the Ask Vanguard page got a facelift, but essentially serves the same function--to let fictional Forte people contact Vanguard for tech support, but to just frustrate you with its buttons because they don't do anything.

This page will generally be updated bi-monthly, on the schedule of an online Champions APA that I'm part of (that the Forte material is my submission material for). I'll attempt to at least update the Calendar and change the "most recent posts" on the Message Board page, but will also try to add new emails, database entries, message board threads and chats. Really, for all its bells and whistles, that's what this site is meant to house anyway...fictional emails, chats, database entries and message posts by/between Forte heroes. Do hope you enjoy it all!
